How we handle your information

This page explains what happens to your information when you use this website. It is short because we collect very little.
If you are already an Altis customer, or a candidate applying for a job through Altis, this page is not the one you want. Personal data inside the Altis product is handled under our customer agreement and Data Processing Agreement, and the Security section of this site explains how. The cookies and the companies behind the Altis product are listed on its own page.

What the enquiry form collects
If you book a call or send us an enquiry, we ask for your name, your care company, your email address and your phone number. You can also add a message if you want to.
That form does not save your details into a database. It sends them to us as an email, and we reply to it. Nothing about you sits in a marketing list unless you later become a customer.
Signing up for updates
If you sign up for updates, we collect your name, work email, company and what you tell us you’re interested in. We use them to send the updates you asked for and, if you tell us you’d like a call, to get in touch about one. Nothing else. They’re stored with Resend, the service we use to send email, and we keep a record of your consent. Every email has an unsubscribe link, or you can email hello@altisgroup.co.uk and we’ll remove you promptly.
If you leave your details at our stand
At events we sometimes have an iPad on our stand. If you give us your details there (your name, email, phone, company, what you are looking for, and whether you would like updates), we handle them in the same way as a sign-up for updates above. They are stored with Resend, and the iPad keeps a copy until our team clears it after the event.
Cookies and your browser
This website sets no cookies.
If you sign up for updates, your browser keeps a note, altis-signedup, so we do not ask you again. On the blog, it keeps another, altis-su-card, so the sign-up box only appears once. Both stay on your device and are never sent to us. Clearing this site’s data in your browser removes them.
Analytics, and how to object
We use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits and page views. It sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. Vercel tells one visit from another with a scrambled code made from the visit itself, which it does not keep: it is discarded within 24 hours, and no IP address is stored against you. It records the page, the page you came from, your country, region and city, and your type of device and browser. We only ever see totals.
That is the only measurement on the site. There is no tracking pixel and no advertising network, and we do not build a profile of you or follow you around other websites.
We use it because we have a legitimate interest in knowing which pages are useful. You have the right to object. Because it never identifies you, we cannot switch it off for you from our end. Instead, block it in your browser with its tracking protection or a content blocker (it loads from /_vercel/insights/). The site works exactly the same without it. Who else sees anything
Two other companies are involved, and only in a limited way.
Vercel hosts this website and provides the analytics above. Serving a page means their systems see your IP address; the analytics turns that into a count rather than storing it against you.
Resend delivers the enquiry email to us and holds the sign-up list described above. Everything you enter in any of our forms passes through their systems. Resend is based in the United States, so this is a transfer outside the UK, made under approved safeguards.
Each of them handles your information only to provide its service to us. The typefaces on this site come from our own address, so no font company sees your visit.
We do not sell your information, and we do not pass it to anyone for marketing.
Why we are allowed to do this
We handle your enquiry because you asked us to, and because we have a legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us about our software. If you would rather we did not keep your enquiry, tell us and we will delete it.
How long we keep it
If you become a customer, your enquiry becomes part of our record of the relationship and is kept for as long as we work together, and for six years afterwards.
If you do not, we keep the enquiry for 12 months in case you come back to us, and then delete it. You can ask us to delete it sooner.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, object to how we are using it, or ask us to restrict it. Using any of these is free.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please come to us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this page
If we change how any of this works we will update this page and change the date at the top.
